Introduction
SIA Course Finder provides a revision platform for the SIA Door Supervisor exam at siacoursefinder.co.uk. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are a UK-based service and handle personal data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Account information. When you register, we collect your name and email address to create and secure your account.
- Payment information. When you purchase the revision pack, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves — Stripe handles this in line with PCI-DSS standards.
- Usage and progress data. We store your quiz results, mock exam scores, flashcard progress and module completion so your dashboard can track your revision accurately.
- Technical data. Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and device information, collected automatically for security and performance monitoring.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we keep a record of that correspondence to respond to you and for our records.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account, and give you access to the revision pack you've purchased.
- Process payments and provide receipts.
- Track your progress across notes, flashcards, quizzes and mock exams so your dashboard is accurate.
- Respond to support requests and contact form submissions.
- Keep the platform secure and detect misuse of accounts.
- Send you service-related emails, such as password resets or purchase confirmations. We do not send marketing emails unless you've opted in.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your quiz and exam results are used only to provide your dashboard and, where appropriate, to produce anonymised statistical information that cannot identify individual users..
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you logged in, remember your revision hub theme preference (light or dark), and understand basic site usage. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the dashboard require cookies to function — for example, staying logged in between pages.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including secure authentication, encrypted password storage and restricted access to personal data. While we work to protect your information, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers to run the platform. Each only receives the data it needs to perform its function:

We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account is active, since the revision pack is a lifetime-access product. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain limited records (such as payment records) for legal or accounting purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- Request that your data be provided to you in a portable format.

Children's privacy
The SIA Door Supervisor licence has a minimum age requirement, and our platform is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
